독일

A great school system that is genuinely hard to enter as a lone foreign child.

학비
연 ~$14–20k
International school; state schools are free but taught in German
생활비
월 ~$3,400
Family of three, all in, excluding fees. Compared at country level, so capital cities and large metros run higher. The price level behind it prices the basket residents buy, and a foreign renter cannot reach the cheap end of local housing — poorer countries may still sit too low here.
교육
Excellent
보호자 비자
No easy guardian route
The parent is the constraint here, not the schooling. A residence basis has to come from somewhere else — work or self-employment — and Germany has no passive-income category.

Pathoff judgement directed by evidence, not computed from it: the country’s position comes from the World Bank household consumption price level for 2024 (0.759 of the United States, CC BY 4.0 — the ICP benchmark carried forward annually by the World Bank’s own method); the US reference budget is ours. See the Pathoff method, section 12.

Pathoff outcome rubric (the Pathoff method, section 10-1), early outcome band "A guardian must be arranged": No guardian route. A parent needs a residence basis of their own through work or self-employment, and there is no passive-income category to fall back on.

여기는 어떤 곳인가

The state system is strong and free, but it runs in German and it is not built around foreign minors arriving alone — there is no easy guardian route comparable to Malaysia's. The realistic path is an international school at Western European prices, or the whole family relocating. Good education, bad access.

절차는 이렇습니다

1

Decide: international school or the state system

The state system is free but assumes German; the international route is the one that works from a standing start.

소요 기간 미확인
2

Establish the family's residence basis

A minor's stay is normally derived from a parent's residence permit rather than granted on its own.

소요 기간 미확인

가족들이 모이는 곳

Frankfurt / Rhein-Main
Largest concentration of international schools and expatriate families
Munich
Strong schools, the most expensive housing in the country
