What it is like here
Argentina’s public universities were free to all comers, foreigners included, and the University of Buenos Aires is one of the most recognised names in Latin America. A 2025 decree changed the position: universities may now charge students who do not hold permanent residence, each one decides for itself, and no national schedule exists. We do not know what you would pay, so we have not written a number down.
How the process works
Ask the specific university what it charges
Since the 2025 decree the answer differs between institutions and can change.
Student residence, then a national identity number
The DNI is what makes enrolment, banking and health access work.
