Single student, all in — deliberately the same figure as the degree page. It is the same person living the same way; only the training differs. Compared at country level, so capital cities and large metros run higher. The price level behind it prices the basket residents buy, and a foreign renter cannot reach the cheap end of local housing — poorer countries may still sit too low here.

Where these figures came from

One row per ingredient. Open any of them for the source, how far we trust it, and when we last checked.

TuitionNo data yet

No figure recorded. No published fee schedule for a Mexican culinary, hospitality or aviation training institution could be confirmed at tier 1 or tier 2, and the tier 3 figures found were monthly amounts for unnamed schools that could not be tied to an institution. See the Pathoff method, section 14-5.

Pathoff judgement directed by evidence, not computed from it: the country’s position comes from the World Bank household consumption price level for 2024 (0.590 of the United States, CC BY 4.0 — the ICP benchmark carried forward annually by the World Bank’s own method); the US reference budget is ours. See the Pathoff method, section 12.

Pathoff education rubric (the Pathoff method, section 9-2), special band "Regionally credible": Culinary, hospitality and aviation training is known and respected across Latin America and tied to industries that actually hire. Mid-band because outside the region the institutions are not names employers recognise.

Pathoff outcome rubric (the Pathoff method, section 10-3), special outcome band "A route that needs an employer": Judged independently. Mexico has no reserved-occupations list closing trades to foreigners and no separate vocational route either, so the mechanism is the same one the degree route uses — an employer registered with the INM, then work permission added to an existing status. Same band and the same position, for the same structural reason.

What it is like here

Mexican culinary training sits behind a cuisine on the UNESCO list, and aviation maintenance and hospitality both have genuine training infrastructure attached to industries that employ people. The route out is the same as for a degree — an employer, then a change of status. We could not find published fee schedules for the specialist schools, so the tuition line is empty rather than guessed.

How the process works

1

Confirm the school issues the documentation for a student visa

Short courses often do not, which leaves the trainee on a visitor permit with no route onward.

Timing not confirmed

Where the training is

Mexico City / Puebla
The culinary schools and the restaurants that hire from them
Querétaro
Aerospace maintenance training built around the industrial cluster
