Croatia

A maritime and tourism economy that trains its own, and quotes no price to outsiders.

Single student, all in — deliberately the same figure as the degree page. It is the same person living the same way; only the training differs. Compared at country level, so capital cities and large metros run higher. The price level behind it prices the basket residents buy, and a foreign renter cannot reach the cheap end of local housing — poorer countries may still sit too low here.

TuitionNo data yet

No figure recorded. No published fee schedule for a Croatian vocational or specialist institution charging non-EU students could be confirmed at tier 1 or tier 2, and the tier 3 material described universities rather than vocational training. See the Pathoff method, section 14-5.

Pathoff judgement directed by evidence, not computed from it: the country’s position comes from the World Bank household consumption price level for 2024 (0.535 of the United States, CC BY 4.0 — the ICP benchmark carried forward annually by the World Bank’s own method); the US reference budget is ours. See the Pathoff method, section 12.

Pathoff education rubric (the Pathoff method, section 9-2), special band "Regionally credible": Maritime and hospitality training here is known across the Adriatic and tied to industries that dominate the economy. At the foot of the band because outside the region no institution is a name.

Industry accessEmployer needed; the graduate route is for degrees

Pathoff outcome rubric (the Pathoff method, section 10-3), special outcome band "A route that needs an employer": Judged on its own. The post-study route follows from higher education, so a vocational graduate needs an employer and a work permit directly.

What it is like here

Croatia trains for the two industries it actually runs — shipping and tourism — and both employ people year in and year out. What is missing from outside is a published fee for a foreign student, and a vocational qualification does not carry the graduate route a degree does.

How the process works

1

Check the award level before enrolling

It decides whether a post-study route exists afterwards.

Timing not confirmed

Where the training is

Rijeka / Split
The maritime academies and the shipping companies
