Slovenia

Good trades, no published foreign price, and a graduate permit that skips them.

Single student, all in — deliberately the same figure as the degree page. It is the same person living the same way; only the training differs. Compared at country level, so capital cities and large metros run higher. The price level behind it prices the basket residents buy, and a foreign renter cannot reach the cheap end of local housing — poorer countries may still sit too low here.

TuitionNo data yet

No figure recorded. No published fee schedule for a Slovenian vocational or specialist training institution charging non-EU students could be found at tier 1 or tier 2, and the tier 3 material described university rather than vocational study. See the Pathoff method, section 14-5.

Pathoff judgement directed by evidence, not computed from it: the country’s position comes from the World Bank household consumption price level for 2024 (0.625 of the United States, CC BY 4.0 — the ICP benchmark carried forward annually by the World Bank’s own method); the US reference budget is ours. See the Pathoff method, section 12.

Pathoff education rubric (the Pathoff method, section 9-2), special band "Locally useful only": Training is closely tied to Slovenian industries and respected within the region. No institution here is a name the wider industry knows.

Pathoff outcome rubric (the Pathoff method, section 10-3), special outcome band "A route that needs an employer": Judged on its own. The job-seeking permit requires a higher education qualification, so a vocational graduate goes straight to an employment route that needs an employer first.

What it is like here

Slovenia has real depth in things it actually does — winemaking, alpine tourism, precision manufacturing — and living costs are low enough that training here is cheap in absolute terms. What we could not find is what a foreign student pays, and the nine-month job-seeking permit is written for higher education qualifications, which leaves a vocational graduate needing an employer.

How the process works

1

Check the qualification level before enrolling

Whether the award is higher education decides whether the job-seeking permit exists afterwards.
